What the Heck is This?

Lords of the Earth is a great multiplayer game of empire building.  There are many different campaigns, most of which are set on Earth during the medieval or late classical period.  I decided to do something a bit different and set mine in "Theeurth", a highly detailed fictional world I developed as a setting for role-playing games over the course of the last three decades.

Players take the role of empires, attempting to guide their kings, leaders and armies through treachery, warfare, intrigue and economics to build a lasting nation.  The best way to get a feel for it is to click the "Newsfax" link above and read.  You might also try the archives.

Mercenaries

The following lists of mercenaries are available for nations in each respective geographic region. If successfully hired, the mercenary units will appear at your nation's capital at the beginning of the turn.

Mercenary Leaders, however, are a different story. These exceptional and avaricious individuals, once hired, become available at the beginning of the following turn. Thus, if hired in turn 1, Prince Vorathian would appear at the nation's capital at the beginning of turn 2. Furthermore, these leaders are particular about what actions they are willing to perform, and these restrictions are listed below.
